A Banquet - to remember the season

When: Friday, 11/21, 6pm (till about 7:30)
Where: Carll's Corner Community Fellowship, 1240 Highway 77 (right around the corner, just north of the school)
Who: the TEAM and any family members you want to bring
What: Food, Special Awards, Gifts for the TEAM, a good time (bring your happy face)

AND...
Mr Sloan will make baked ziti and meatballs. 
The rest of you:
Girls Team – desserts
Freshmen Boys – desserts
Sophomore Boys – drinks (tea, lemonade, soda…) (Paul K. will bring Italian Bread)
Junior and Senior Boys – side dishes (garden salad, vegetable tray, jello salad, etc...)

1.COLT CARDS  - Mrs Massey sent me this note:
I still need colt cards or the money returned by:

*Please reach out to the students. I will need them by the banquet or I will be turning them back in to the booster club and fine cards will be assessed by the school. OR, give your stuff to Kyle at school.

2.EQUIPMENT/ UNIFORMS - to me asap, or else...
I have provided two opportunities for you to turn your stuff in... 1.At the last meet, and 2.I was at the school during lunch on Tuesday (a txt msg or answering msg was sent to each one who owed).
*So, if you still owe stuff, get it to my house by Thursday, 11/13, so you won't get a fine card.

*Put your stuff on my front porch, in a bag with a paper that has your name on it. Txt me to let me know its there.

Saturday, 10/25, 8:30-10, at Parvins. A couple of easy loops

Monday, 10/27 - a little bit of Fartlek; finished by 4:30
Tuesday - pre race focus practice. Finished by 4pm

Wednesday - Tri County Conference Meet at CRHS

Thursday - off
Friday - light recovery day; finished by 4:30pm

Monday, 11/3 - Threshold ladder; finished by 4:30
Tuesday - long run; finished by 4:30
Wednesday - Fartlek; finished by 4:30
Thursday - easy run; finished by 4:30

ATHLETIC LETTERS

Types of Awards:
1.  Freshman – certificate
2.  Junior Varsity – certificate
3.  Varsity:
            a.  1st Year – letter, pin, and certificate
            b.  2nd Year – service bar and certificate
            c.  3rd Year – service bar and certificate
            d.  4th Year – plaque, service bar and certificate
           e.  Generic 1st year Varsity -  Certificate of Participation – no letter

General Award Criteria:
1.    Student-Athletes must attend all practices and games unless excused by the
       coach, Supervisor of Athletics, and/or Assistant Principal.
2.    Student-Athletes must complete the entire season in good standing.
3.    Student-Athletes must exhibit a cooperative attitude toward coaches and team
       members.
4.    Student-Athletes must exhibit sportsmanlike conduct at all times.
5.    Student-Athletes must return all athletic equipment and/or payment thereof.
6.    Student-Athletes must meet the specific criteria designated for each sport (see
       below).
7.    Student-Athletes who play specialty positions (kicker, pinch hitter, courtesy runner,
       etc.) may be eligible at the discretion of the coach.
8.    Senior student-athletes that have been members of a team for 4 years but are
       unable to meet the criteria for their sport are eligible.
9.    Athletes who have previously lettered in the sport and sustain an injury or illness
       are eligible.  First year athletes need to have met the criteria prior to the injury or
       illness. 
10.  Certificates of Participation will be awarded to all student-athletes who complete
       the sports season but have not met the specific sport criteria.
11.  All student-athletes recommended for athletic awards, must be approved by the
       Supervisor of Athletics.
12.  All student-athletes are expected to finish the season in good standing.  Dismiss



Cross Country – An athlete must finish among the top 7 CRHS runners in ONE-
       HALF of the regular season meets and/or represent the team in a championship
       meet at the end of the season.  Any athlete who places in the top 5 in a TCC or
       NJSIAA meet automatically qualifies.
